Santa isn’t the only guest you have to impress – which is why our christmas table is a traditional project and something we embrace with new exciting ideas every year!
Christmas is a season that my family truly adores, we make our home merry with seasonal decor even though we spend it in the summer sun in South Africa. We set the scene with sparkling accents, an array of different christmas colours, reindeers, angels, christmas stockings, lights, candles and mistletoe, you name it, its there, we just like to give it a summer twist.
This year we decided to go with an all white and gold winter wonderland. We lined the table with the most beautiful bunches of hydrangeas we could get our hands on and housed them in sheer gold vases. We found little wintery frosted birds and deers covered in golden glitter among other things, at the magical Christmas Cracker Store on the Kings Road, then lugged them back to South Africa, mixed them in and around our flower arrangement and clipped some baby bird pieces onto our plates while “Snow covered” candle sticks peaked through the tops of the flower display to finish off our whimsical winter wonderland creation.
I loved this table and the wonderful Christmas eve memories we created at it!
